Communicate job details clearly to technicians and ensure proper job staging: Before a technician arrives at a customer’s home, you must:
- Provide complete job information
- Customer name, address, and phone number
- Appliance brand and model number
- Description of the problem
- Warranty or billing information
- Special notes (gate codes, pets, scheduling restrictions, etc.)
- Ensure proper job staging
- Confirm any required parts have been ordered or are in stock
- Verify the technician has the correct parts and tools
- Attach photos, previous notes, and service history to the work order
- Make sure authorization or approvals are in place
